Visit to Tahara City, Aichi Pref.

Traffic jam!!!
Carsick!!! =(

Tahara City is situated on the Atsumi Peninsula in the southern part of Aichi Prefecture... Agriculture in Tahara City developed because of the blessings of its warm climate characteristics. Particularly in the years since the Toyogawa Canal was completed in 1968, making irrigation water available to its entire area, development as a large scale agricultural base was promoted, with emphasis on fresh vegetables, greenhouses and livestock feed lots, etc/, making Tahara City an advanced agricultural area that is unequaled in all of Japan... The value of Tahara's agricultural production was 75.99 billion yen in 2004, and as of January 1, 2006, the value of Tahara's agricultural production was ranked at #1 in Japan.

The field

Lunch: veggie!!! Love pickled celery the most!!!

Sante Park

"Tulip Fair"
There are about 6,000 tulips at the fair.

And many other common colors...

Flower bed

Orchid Exhibition

Chrysanthemum, or "mum" in short, is patented by the producers in Tahara or Aichi. The flowers are usually for funeral use.

The cultivation can be done both outdoor and indoor; the majority are grown year round in indoor facilities. Tahara is Japan's #1 production area.

Someone asked, cabbage or garbage??? Lol... Maybe they are too busy counting money to do the weeding.

Squid chip which I thought is banana chip at first. Delicious! Thanks, Prof. K!

Traffic jam again.
From this moment on, close my eyes and no more photos.

Some hours later... FRUSTRATED!!!
