Nada Sousou by Natsukawa Rimi

Nada Sousou (涙そうそう) by Natsukawa Rimi (夏川りみ) released in 2001 was the third most popular song on the Japanese iTunes, as of 25 Oct 2006, and it is still widely loved by most people. It inspired the production of a movie, also titiled "Nada Sousou" (Tears for you) in 2006. A reccomended sad movie!!! You can see the whole movie at crunchyroll.

I like its melody and the way the artist sang it: so relaxing and sentimental... with such a beautiful voice.

Nada Sousou (Tearful)

Furui arubamu mekuri (I flipped through an old photo album)
arigatou tte tsubuyaita (and whispered, "thank you")
itsumo itsumo mune no naka hagemashite kureru hito yo
(to the person in my heart, who is always there for me)
harewataru hi mo ame no hi mo (On clear day, on rainy days)
ukabu ano egao (I think of that smile)
omoide tooku asetemo (Though my memories fade away)
omokage sagashite (I'll look for the traces you left behind)
yomigaeru hi wa nada sousou (and remember you on a tearful day)

Ichiban boshi ni inoru (I pray for the first star in the night)
sore ga watashi no kuse ni nari (It's become a habit of mine)
yuugure ni miageru sora (looking up at the evening sky)
kokoro ippai anata sagasu (and searching for you with all my heart)
kanashimi ni mo yorokobi ni mo (In sadness, in happiness)
omou ano egao (I think of that smile)
anata no basho kara watashi ga mietara kitto itsuka
(If you can see me from where you are)

aeru to shinjite ikite yuku
(then I'll live my life believing that we will meet again some day)

Harewataru hi mo ame no hi mo (On clear days, on rainy days)

ukabu ano egao (I think of that smile)

omoide tooku asetemo (Though my memories fade away)
Samishikute koishikute (It is lonely without you)
kimi e no omoi nada sousou (My tearful feelings for you)
aitakute aitakute (I want to see you, I want to see you)
kimi e no omoi nada sousou (My tearful feelings for you)
